Bible Baptist Church was established in January 1990, when a new church was formed with three families from an existing church work. The church met in rented space next door to Pride Realty on Pleasant Valley Road (Diamond Springs) until July 1991, when it moved to the former Lindy's Bar and Grill on Mother Lode Drive. After renting this building for 1 1/2 years, the church bought the building and its .6 acre.

In the spring of 1996, an additional four classes and a nursery were added in the new Educational Building.

On May 17, 1998, the church held its first service in the newly remodeled and expanded auditorium. This project included the addition of a foyer and increased seating capacity of the auditorium.

The church celebrated its 10th anniversary on March 26, 2000, with a near-record attendance of 115 for the morning services. "To God Be the Glory" for the mortgage burning held that day in honor of the church mortgage being paid in full just days before Anniversary Sunday. Brother Harvey Seidel, who assisted Pastor Labins in the formation of the church, preached in the evening service.

Three more Sunday School classes were added on November 1, 2000, through the rental and renovation of nearby office space (just up the hill behind the Education Building). The teens and juniors currently use this "Upper Room" for their classes.

The Lord has blessed in "the converted bar" over the years as people have come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and have found a church home to grow in His Word. Bible Baptist Church is known for preaching the old-fashioned Gospel from an old-fashioned Book.
